Revised: June 16, 2008
Bonland's No. 1 value is
Safety, and therefore, we place a high importance on providing our employees with a safe
work environment.
Our EMR rating, which is currently .58
in New Jersey, has over the past eight (8) years been .855 or lower. We are particularly proud of our lowest rating of .322 and continue to place our efforts on reaching this milestone again.
Having recently established a branch in New York, we are also very proud
of our .96 New York rating.
As a result of our attention to
Safety, Bonland's activities at your job site
will occur within the boundaries of our Safety Program.

Organization
Bonland’s Safety Program begins
with a commitment from top management. We believe that we have a moral
obligation to ensure the safety of our employees and recognize that good safety
practices make good business sense.
Bonland's management is deeply committed to providing a safe environment and
takes an active role in our Safety Committee and Programs. We communicate
our commitment to Safety with the goal of Zero Accidents. Our short-term
goal is to achieve an accident free year. Our long-term goal is to be an
accident free company.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
We provide quality personal protective
equipment, which includes safety glasses, hard hats, fall protection, hearing
protection and gloves, in addition to a variety of other protective equipment.
Our
Project Managers and Field Foremen ensure that the appropriate protective
equipment is available on our jobsites.
All Bonland
employees are required to wear hard hats and safety glasses, regardless of
whether it is a job site requirement. We feel that it is important to be a
leader in Safety.
Inspection
Bonland performs jobsite audits,
site safety reviews and quarterly safety observations.
Corrective action is taken where needed, in addition to the findings
being used to improve our overall Safety Program. Our Safety Specialist, Safety Committee, consultants and representatives from
insurance companies perform the audits, our project managers perform the site
safety reviews and our managers and foremen perform the safety observations.
These safety inspections allow us to ensure that our safety rules and practices
are being applied and that corrective action is taken where needed.
Investigation
In the event that an accident does occur, Bonland has a
formal Accident Investigation Procedure, which includes identifying the
corrective action needed to prevent reoccurrence.
